I’m Martine Schevernels I work at GO! Spectrumschool. Our school is part of GO! school district Antwerp, Belgium. I have a MA degree in physiotherapy. Science intrigued me since I was a teenager. After working some years as a physiotherapist, I started teaching. Now, 17 years later I coach and support the new teachers at our school. Additionally, I’m part of a team that’s trying to find the best ways to get our pupils as intrinsic motivated as possible. I’m also a freelance author for a publishing house that publishes educational materials. Creating educational materials that stimulates the pupils minds and their sense to learn, is my passion. That’s why I’m delighted to be a part of the AI@school project. It’s giving me the opportunity to enhance teachers’ skills and competences to meet the growing need for children to understand artificial intelligence.
